I am saddened to write this post as I’ve been coming here for over a year now and have been able to lose over 60lbs! What was once a place that felt like an extension of home to me has turned into quite an uncomfortable place to be. I let a lot of the issues with the gym pass (Ie broken equipment constantly, showers are moldy and gnat filled, and mats are always muddy or dirty) because it’s a steal of a cost annually. However, I draw the line at the constant covert racism and feeling of being unwanted by members. I have autism, so usually I am wearing headphones & am scanned in by my husband. (He scans both of our cards) However, today we were stopped and questioned about our membership. I have seen elderly (non AA) men and women skip right past the front desk associates to enter private rooms yet we are stopped? Most of the staff knows us as we frequent here very often! Honestly, it is sad to have to feel this way. I will not be renewing my membership.
