The YMCA in Holyoke is absolutely the best gym! From the arrival to departure, the staff are just absolutely amazing! Every staff member at the front greets you with a smile and individually takes time to just make you feel welcomed with personal greetings and care. I take classes and Jess is one of the best instructors I've ever had. She cares about us and uses her knowledge and skills to ensure our form and technique are proper. She's built a friendly community within our class and we have such a blast. Lastly this gym is the cleanest gym around. The ladies that work endlessly ensuring the floors and space are clean and safe for us is truly appreciated. They also have smiles and such great personaliies. These ladies are nonstop and it shows with just how well the facility is taken care of. I highly recommend this gym.

I'll piggyback on another review. When it's good it's great for family and your children. Unless of course there's a problem. The woman Cheryl who is in charge passes on to someone else. Does not address the problem. They will actually stick together and talk badly about your child, makeup lies and make fun your child to each other. Be aware and be careful especially if you have younger children In the day program and teenagers that are girls

It really is the best YMCA in the area. I grew up in the Greenfield YMCA and just transferred my membership a few months ago. I'm not sure why, but everyone at the Holyoke YMCA is friendly. The staff, the folks who go to exercise, the folks in the locker room, etc. Everyone you run into at the Holyoke YMCA is a pleasure to talk to and deal with. This contrasts greatly with Greenfield and Northampton, where the energy and vibe is much different. Not many friendly people, not much positive energy, and lacking a feeling of community. That may be more of a representation of the people from those communities than the YMCA itself, but it is what it is.

Love working out here! The staff is always so nice and helpful, the gym just got renovated with new equipment so it feels like a brand new gym! And a steam room and sauna are always a great addition to an affordable gym membership. Wish I still lived locally just so I could keep coming here

The staff is what makes this Y so special—helpful, knowledgeable and friendly! It is clean including the changing room and the sauna and steam room are piping hot. The small pool is nice for exercising and a quieter pool environment. I haven’t used the exercise areas or gym. There’s sufficient parking and I’m just very grateful to have a membership. It is very affordable.
