We did our first year of travel soccer with FC in 2024/25. Coach Jason did such amazing things with the team and the boys. All of them exhibited so much growth. Jason was so kind and supportive and made each feel valuable and capable. He did this without mass punishments, yelling or demeaning any child. He is the epitome of what I would hope for in a youth soccer coach. We are also very grateful for FC’s philosophy. I love that parents are educated and expected to be positive and not sideline coach. FC's focus on the 3 Cs ( character, competitiveness and community) and not just winning is so crucial for helping these children develop into good humans (which is our ultimate goal for our sons). I am so appreciative of FC’s philosophy.

I played at FC Richmond from their u7 recreational program all the way through their college Pro23 league and had a great experience. The club provided me with structure and always stressed the importance of responsibility, accountability, and leadership. FC fostered my interest in coaching from a young age, which I believe made me into a stronger educator in my professional life. Of course I am a better soccer player after going through FC's program, but I also feel that because of the coaches and core values of the club, I am a better person as well. My family joined the FC Richmond family back in 2016 when our oldest was 4 years old and the blessings we have received from being a part of this classy organization are so numerous, they cannot be counted. From U4 clinics to rec soccer to travel soccer, my 3 boys have experienced stellar coaches, teammates who have become friends, and have grown in their love of soccer. The club strives to live their motto of "beyond the game" in the way they treat their players, the parents, and look to grow the boys/girls beyond just being a soccer player but into being a first-class human beings. Our daughter began playing with FC Richmond when she was about 5 or 6 years old, starting in the REC program and eventually working her way up to the travel teams. As a naturally shy young lady, she truly came out of her shell thanks to the supportive environment and dedicated coaches at the club. Their guidance helped her grow not only in confidence but also in skill, allowing her to successfully join both her middle school and high school soccer teams. She played with FC Richmond through U18, and the experience had a tremendously positive impact on her development—both as a player and as a person. I was so impressed with the program that I became a team manager for several years. Even after our daughter graduated, I felt a strong desire to give back to the club that had given our family so much. In 2022, I began working with the U4 program and also became involved with advanced skills training for REC players (U8–U12). It has been an incredibly rewarding experience. I believe FC Richmond is firmly committed to developing both character and soccer skills in its players, and I’m proud to be a part of that mission.
