Powered by GoogleEverything is clean. Staff is nice. Good equipment variety in the gym.
The pool was a little chilly, the hot tub has algae growing around it. The splash pads all have things that don't work.
I enjoyed the variety of classes. Also the hot tub was nice to enjoy after the workouts. The staff were super friendly and helpful
Great wholesome family environment. Very inviting to new participants in classes. Instructors are top notch and care about the participants. I've been a member for probably 25 years now and recommend them often to new people in the area. I also travel a lot and love going to Ys all over the country -- the big city ones and the small town ones -- they all have charm and character.
I always enjoy the instructors for the BodyFlow and Yoga classes. There are a couple of studios that allow for more than one class to choose from at any given time. Classes start as early as 5am for those who need to get a workout in before work (or after if you have the graveyard shift). The gym & the equipment is always being kept up-to-date. The place is very clean, to include the restrooms, lockers and changing rooms. For families of little kids, it offers a much needed respite for the parents because they do offer options for the little ones. When you enter SCF YMCA, you will always be warmly greeted by a staff member. On your way out, you'll hear someone wish you well. These "hellos & goodbyes" are a part of wellness too. Don't ignore the staff. You'll feel better returning their kindness. I get it, some of you come to workout, not to socialize. I know a few of you! Just look up once in a while and smile. It will improve the look of your face & improve your disposition much more than that weight machine or aerobic exercise...but do those too. Be blessed & have a blessed day. (The photos included...it's kind of difficult to get pics without people in them. Unless I stay past closing.)
