The Collegiate School Aquatics Center (CSAC) is SwimRVA's flagship facility and the venue for its week-long summer swimming day camps. General camps for ages 6-12 run Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with up to 20 swim lessons a week alongside water safety, team-building, healthy-eating education, fitness activities and wind-down yoga or a movie; specialty weeks include Water Sports (ages 10-15, rotating kayaking, water polo, synchronized swimming, paddle boarding and log rolling), Junior Lifeguarding (ages 11-14), Summer League Tune-Up (ages 10-15), Mermaid Camp and Water Polo Camp (both ages 8-15). The 54,000 sq ft center opened in 2012 and holds three year-round heated pools - the 2008 Olympic Swimming Trials 50-meter competition pool, a 24-yard instructional pool and a HydroWorx therapy pool with underwater treadmills - plus a fitness room and a 700-seat grandstand.

★★★J. C.It's very loud and the bleachers are uncomfortable - be sure to bring a cushion to sit on if you're here for a swim meet. The lighting is also very harsh too. I wish this was built near more restaurants and grocery stores, because our swimmers are starving after a meet and the vending machine is quite often empty. We pack plenty of snacks in our cooler, but it's a drive to get them food afterwards. The parking can be a big issue, as this location is in an industrial area and big Mack trucks tend to park along the street. It's frustrating when you need to be there for Champs and you can't find parking. The signage in the swimming area is excellent though. I love that they offer a clear view for all the visitors. We can see the name of the swimmer as well as the team abbreviation. It would be nice if they would use the camera feature more often for those of us in the stands. The coat for swim team and lessons has risen to prices that are just not feasible for working class families. When this program began, it was based on the concept of keeping all swim options affordable to everyone. That does not seem to be SwimRVA's focus any longer.
