Powered by GoogleThe membership manager never follows up with his phone calls. Ive waited 6 months to hear from him and Every-time i ask to speak to him directly- he's “unavailable” i have left numerous voicemails to follow up on what was happening as no one at the front desk seemed to know .. i was completely misdirected on my membership status & the process. Im a full time student with a teenager and would have loved to have the YMCA as an option for him and i both but the lack of professionalism and lack of accountability for following up with your customers is so appalling to me i tried to be on top of this before summer came and here we are … with no answers except come in and start the process over..
Not very happy with this facility it seems they keep raising the rates and providing less services. The key fob scanner constantly breaks so you can’t get in so 24 hr access turns into no access. The pool is closed more than it’s open which makes no sense and a lot of there classes don’t seem like they have pros running them. I’m not sure if they want people to stay or if they want to run everyone out. Staff are ok but the people running things just don’t seem to care
Another successful aquathon, it was fun meeting the other participating clubs, with 2 hours of workouts & 4 different instructors. There we're variations on using the bells and boards that were new to me...I'll be spreading the news in Port Orange Monday.
The facility is nice with a good variety of equipment, however, if you plan on working out on weeknights before 8pm, you need to plan on sharing the space with about 20-30 shrieking teenage volleyball players that don't understand gym etiquette. They leave there stuff tossed all over the floor and don't know how to treat it as a shared public space. There coaches also yell orders so it's very distracting and hard to stay in the zone if you are anywhere except tucked into the free weight section. I enjoy working out on the weekends when this can be avoided but otherwise it's very frustrating to not be able to workout in peace
This place is huge and offers really great amenities like free weights, old school and new school weight machines, plenty of stair plumbers and treadmills, basketball courts, a sauna, showers, group classes and more. Its all well kept and clean. My only issue is there are 2 pools I can never use in the morning. The outdoor pool is almost always in use from the local swing team so that's out and the indoor pool has 4 lanes that are usually used by members who will lap for an hour or more so that's usually out too. They should at least allow deep end use of the outdoor pool or something.
