Powered by GoogleWonderful location and gym. Clean equipment with a huge variety. Also loved the aerobics classes! Something for everyone without being too crowded. Definitely worth checking out for a a good workout in a nice facility in winter Park!
My wife and I went there because a family member is doing youth volleyball so while doing that, we received a little tour around and then had to sit down with a guy about getting a membership there for me and my wife which we weren't entirely interested in but they kept knocking down the price to about 75 bucks for the both of us. Even though she can go to UCF for 20 bucks a month so can I. So I don't see what could be done (on their part)!that could want us to be a part of their gym financially. The ball is in your court YMCA. If you can get us both in there for about 45 bucks that would be great.
The people working there go out of their way to help.. Mary at the front desk with her welcoming smile makes a difference. Minor complaints, the mats aren't cleaned often. Classes and instructors are great. Would love to have Monday spinning to 45 Minutes
ABSOLUTE WORST location the YMCA has and I will no longer be going into this specific location anymore. I tried playing pickleball here but they have an angry old troll member who is aggressive and thinks she owns the place. She got in my face and everything. She hounded me down one day and I even attempted to reach the director of this location because front staff did not help me. Their Director does not reply to anyone. I heard nothing but crickets. So this means they will allow harassment to occur and could care less if you are experiencing any issues at their facility. There are better YMCA locations and I would rate this one at the lowest of zero. Their pool is also extremely dirty. I also had several issues with their childcare services and never brought my son there again. I know I am not the only one that has had several issues at this facility and these issues just keep piling up for this place. Don't recommend this location. YMCA's name and reputation shouldn't be tainted by this lousy location. Maybe one day the Director will check their email and start making good changes. If this was the only location YMCA had in Orlando I would have cancelled my membership immediately.
I’ve been coming to this facility since I was a child, and now I bring my kids here. It used to be an amazing place for a family. But over the last couple of years, the childcare facility has taken such a turn. I no longer bring my children here, because of multiple incidents that have been embellished or false accusing. This past week I had an incident that has caused me to cancel our family membership, because I do not feel comfortable putting my kids back there with some of the staff members that have caused issues with not only me, but other close friends of mine that have kids, that no longer feel comfortable, bringing them in there as well. I would consider bringing my children back if they would get a new director of childcare. I am very curious to see if anything will be done about this, especially since I am not the only one that has had issues with the childcare director. She is unprofessional, rude, inappropriate and quite frankly shouldn’t be working there. As a paying member, I am very unhappy with the childcare facility and its director and ultimately how the incident was handled in its entirety. Furthermore, it’s a fine gym to workout at, the machines are okay, but a lot are broken and take a while to be fixed. I wish I had better things to say because this place used to be my home away from home and the people were always warm and friendly and I’m afraid that’s just not the case anymore.
