The Dr. Phillips YMCA has been really great for our family of 4. Our kids really enjoy their time at the kids center while we workout in the gym. The attendants there are all fantastic with them and I do like that they have designated outside time to have them run around on the play ground. My eldest really loves the summer camps and wants to go back every year. It really boosts his confidence with meeting new friends and the counselors are very welcoming. Even saying hi to him when he’s not there that week and we are just visiting the gym. The gym had an upgrade within a year and it was definitely needed. They added more cable machines, an area for sled pushing, TRX, punching bags, soft jump boxes, kettlebell/free weight work, and more platforms for barbells. It does get crowded in the mid mornings, but there is plenty to do if you know your way around gym.

This is the warmest, friendliest, and most high-end YMCA I have ever been to in the country. Every single one of the staff members are super friendly and many times know you by name. They work with you in every way possible to meet your needs. The classes are very close-knit, with longtime members who look out for each other. And this is all before even touching the facilities themselves: the equipment, the pools and every area within the building is super clean and updated thanks to the wonderful staff that looks after it. Thank you for helping build our community and making every morning workout a joy!

Beautiful facility, staff is very friendly, lots of gym equipment (not taking photos out of respect for members), nice pool, several courts for volleyball and basketball. Clean locker rooms.

I was in Orlando for a couple of nights so I decided to check out this Y. I have a membership at the Spurlino YMCA. Dr P Phillips YMCA has really nice facilities. They even have a Foxtail Coffee Shop inside!! So jealous. I wish my Y had a cafe inside, but I guess it’s good that they don’t because I would be at the gym all day! I went to 3 fitness classes the day I visited: BodyCombat, BodyPump & Zumba. The instructors were all really good. The Grinch came to our Zumba class for a couple of dances… that was cute! I think it was the Zumba instructor who dressed up as The Grinch. I’m impressed with how quickly he changed out of his Grinch outfit to continue the class. I also played pickleball afterwards. They play rally style pickleball here, which is interesting. I’ve only played rally style once. I would definitely come back to this YMCA next time I’m in Orlando. Everyone here was really nice.

This YMCA branch is a total winner—spacious enough for lots of options, with activities galore to mix up your routine. It's fresh and modern, boasting solid equipment and facilities that feel premium. My go-to is swimming laps in their stellar pool, and the bathrooms/showers? Immaculately clean every time. Highly recommend for a guilt-free sweat sesh!
