The Children's School of Science is a nonprofit summer science school in Woods Hole for students ages 7 to 16, offering inquiry-based courses including Marine Biology, Oceanography, Seashore Life, Entomology, Herpetology, Botany, Embryology, Nature Photography and Biological Illustration. Classes meet daily, Monday through Friday, for an hour and 45 minutes, combining hands-on classroom study with frequent field trips into the Cape Cod landscape to practise observation and field science. Courses run in two three-week sessions, Session A from late June to mid-July and Session B from late July to early August. Each class is a single short period rather than a full camp day.
