The Charles River Creative Arts Program is the summer day program of The Charles River School in Dover, running since 1970 for young people ages 8-15, with a Creative Starts track for ages 6-8. Campers build their own schedules from more than 135 courses in visual art, dance, theater, music, video, animation, digital photography, textiles, creative writing and sports, with courses tailored by age and ability. The day runs 9:00am-4:00pm with early drop-off and extended-day options and snack and lunch included; Multi-Arts is offered as four two-week sessions and Production as two four-week sessions.

Powered by GoogleI know the camp is supposedly horrible now which is to be expected with Aaron not around anymore. But I have to rate my experience when I went from 2018 and 2019. I did first session with one of my friends who recommended the camp to me in 2018. He then introduced me to many people and I made tons of friends and looked forward to camp everyday and everyone there was so chill and low-key and non-judgmental. In 2019 I did both sessions and also had an awesome time. Some of my favorite memories before I couldn’t go to camp anymore because I was too old were going to crcap. I will remember this place forever, thank you to everyone at crcap during those years it was truly a special place.
This camp used to be a truly special and remarkable place, with experienced faculty teaching super creative classes that were truly unmatched anywhere else. Sadly, that is no more. Starting the summer of 2022, it’s now just a run-of-the-mill day camp. I can’t recommend it.
Was the best camp in the world! It is under new management.
Great
As a child who has went to this camp for about 4 years, every year has been an adventure, maintained by the amazing staff and awesome director, with diverse programs, and most importantly, the perfect role model for acceptance and diversity that I have ever seen. I highly recommend sending more people to this place, they will have an awesome time.
