Google Reviews
Powered by GoogleI've been meaning to write this review for the better part of 5 months... My oldest son took a Boys Hip Hop class here for two years and loved the experience. This past season, they merged the classes to be coed and, as you would expect, he was more than apprehensive with the change being the only boy in a class of about 15. While it would have been a great experience for him, his 7 year old lack of confidence got the better of him and he opted not to dance. I fully understand the business decision to fill the class (there were 5-7 boys in his class the previous years), so do not fault CDC at all for the change. What happened next is what blew me away. When registering, CDC charges a registration fee and first month's tuition free up front (to hold the position in the class and to be able to pay the teachers). Totally makes sense. Both were non-refundable, but I asked if they would be able to refund the tuition since he didn't take any of the classes. Not only did they respond within 1 day, they refunded both charges (which I was NOT expecting - we held a roster spot for over a month that could have gone to someone else). This type of customer service will make me recommend them over and over again to friends and family. Thank you for 2 great years of dance (we'll save those performance videos forever!), for understanding our situation, and being a people-first business!!
Our daughter has been dancing here since she was 19 months old and I cannot recommend the studio enough. She has had an incredibly prolific exposure to top training across tap, ballet, jazz, contemporary and hiphop from resident teachers and artistic directors as well as visiting choreographers and teachers that are Nationally and internationally regarded. The studio owners teach, direct, choreograph and get to know each dancer and family which is incredible. We have taken advantage of joining, growing and thriving in the array of comparative dance companies as well as the performance program which has truly been a robust exposure and education to the array of opportunities in the dance world. A distinct feature is that the dancers can see the continuum of a dance journey- older and experienced dancers help TA classes which impacts a legacy of dance in the rising generations and has made a true difference. CDC has also cultivated a community for our child of friends and a wonderful supportive group of dance families as well. We have truly seen the value in having our child grow up at this studio.
We've been going to CDC for almost 10 years. They provide strong foundational dance skills, choreograph fun seasonal dances throughout the year, and end each season with an amazing recital. I appreciate their social consciousness as an inclusive space for all, including community outreach for those with special needs. A great studio for recreational and serious dancers alike!
Sharing our gratitude this Thanksgiving season for Carolina Dance Center! Our family is so thankful to CDC for providing a safe, loving, and fun environment for our daughter and all of the CDC dancers. We witness every day their focus on quality instruction and developing not only great dancers, but great humans. Thank you to CDC's dedicated owners, dance faculty, and volunteers who make each class, program, and show both enjoyable and incredible! Happy Thanksgiving, CDC family!
My daughter has been dancing at CDC for 7 years and it is wonderful! I can’t thank teachers enough for a studio full of strong technique that supports children’s passion and love for dance. CDC has a strong community where older dancers encourage the younger dancers. Teachers are exceptional! CDC encourages and helps dancers find what they are good and supports and fosters ways to support children! This is a special place! Thank you CDC for all you do for our dancers!
