Camp Tracy is an ACA-accredited YMCA and Boys & Girls Club day camp on a 32-acre campus at McGrath Pond in Oakland, Maine, run by the Alfond Youth & Community Center in Waterville. Serving children in grades K–9, campers are bused daily from Waterville and take part in swimming lessons, archery, canoeing, a ropes course and rock wall, field sports and arts and crafts.

Hopefully the tournament won't return next year to this beautiful spot. It must be awesome in the summer with kids filling the high-end low rope courses, tennis courts, soccer fuels, baseball field. They have a pretty sweet setup here, lodge buildings, swim area, pavilion, and other buildings. I'm sure based on what I've heard she will have an excellent adventure at Camp Tracy in Oakland Maine! So part two.....after a good first day my daughter had a meltdown at the camp. She told the counselor there to call her mom as she was afraid that I would be mad. She also told them about her mother dislocating her elbow when she was younger. Keep in mind that I do not get mad at my Autistic child as it does no good for her. We have been in counseling for over a year and a half now working on issues and behavioral issues. Even though I had made it clear that my child eloped, has meltdowns, and can be combative or uncooperative well in advance of dropping her off, the camp counselors decided to call DHHS CPS instead of owning the fact that they are totally unprepared to manage children with Autism. The head fellow was looking at me like I beat up his mother, and while I do not know his name I do know this camp severely misjudged me and I am very disappointed that my child had a bad experience at camp. Bottom line folks, the counselors here are young and obviously inexperienced in working with children with special needs, quick to report to DHHS without actually asking questions to all parties involved, and I will be talking to Lawyers about suing them as soon as DHHS clears the report. If you have special needs children, take my advice, DO NOT LEAVE THEM WITH THE UNQUALIFIED YOUNG PEOPLE AT CAMP TRACY IN OAKLAND MAINE.
