Camp Palos is the Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana's girls-only day camp on 80 wooded acres in Palos Park, with trails, a nature center and an archery range. Campers register by the week and are placed in units by Girl Scout level (Daisy through Cadette), with a schedule that includes tie-dye day, an outdoor cook-out where girls plan and cook their own lunch, canoeing for the Paddlers unit, and a Great America field-trip program. The camp day runs about 8:50 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. with bus stops available; before- and after-camp care runs 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. for an added fee, and older units may add a Thursday overnight. Campers bring a sack lunch and beverages are provided.

My daughter had a good time at the camp last weekend, but she lost her watch there. I contacted Camp manager Abbey, she's so helpful and friendly. She found her watch. Thank you so much.

Beautiful Girl Scout camp. I have camped in every cabin there. Hiked all the trails. Our troops enjoy encampments and camporees. Our visit was for open house and leader appreciation. We enjoyed hiking the grounds and reminiscing about all our camp days.

My daughter and her troop have gone here multiple times and she loves going and exploring. Sometimes you can see Deer walking through the camp. she loves that and the bathrooms are clean! Fire pits and I do believe I saw some play areas for the kiddos also

Camp Palos and everyone there is incredible! My daughter just finished her third year and will be back for more! She loves reuniting with her camp friends and all of the counselors every year! The activities, field trips, and cookouts this year were amazing! If you are looking for a true day camp experience, this is it! Thank you Girl Scouts and Camp Palos! See you next summer!

Such a great small GS camp tucked back into Palos Park. I went here as a girl back in the early 90s, so very happy to see it is still here. My daughter attended a day camp there and loved it. Kind counselors, small group sizes, and clean facilities.
