Powered by GoogleAttended a 2 night wedding event. Rustic. Beautiful views of the lake. Free wifi. No air conditioning or heat in cabins. Hot water was lukewarm in our cabin. The windows are screens with shutters. Not much soundproofing. Parking can be challenging, along with direct car access to your cabin. The car entry exit is hazardous with blind curves, no sidewalks or crosswalks. Breakfast was best meal. The staff is spirited , appears hardworking, and the boating , hard courts & field sport facilities looked good. The social is the strength of this venue for a wedding. Fun camp fire & dance reception spaces.
Attended a wedding here. It is a fantastic venue with amazing staff! All of the food was great!
Didn’t go here for camp, but was a really fun “camp” wedding venue.
Awesome place to have unconventional events, we went for a wedding and it was super quirky and fun. We had water access, bunk houses, breakfast and lunch served, this place was fun.
We had our wedding at Camp Mataponi in August of 2024 and it was everything we could have wished for. We booked the camp from Sunday to Monday so we kicked off the weekend with our ceremony and reception on Sunday and then used Monday as a full "camp day" for all of our guests to hang out and play games. We had 120 of our 200 person wedding sleep on-site at the camp and everyone loved the cabin set up. My wife and I had a special cabin alongside the lake with all of our closest friends nearby. The ceremony was outdoors by the water the reception was in the main room which overlooked the lake. We had "Clockwork Boston" come out to play live music, had apps like mini hotdogs and lobster rolls passed around, and served what we called "The Camp Cocktail" which was a speciality blueberry drink with a choose your own liquor option. We finished the wedding night with a campfire after-party which had 100 people at it drinking leftover beers, eating pizza, and dancing until 4am! The next day, our guests used the camp how they wanted. Some paddle-boarded across the lake while others played pickleball, or just relaxed to enjoy the scenery. At 3pm, we hosted a softball game and kickball game which everyone came up to the field for to play or watch. Then we capped off the weekend with a lobster bake dinner in the main room! Todd and his staff work to make special memories and that couldn't be more true. From the food tasting to getting cabins organized for guests to the drop off of supplies, they made everything easy and seamless for us. At every moment they we're accommodating and never once did we have a moment where we didn't feel taken care of. All of the food was excellent from the main courses to our special dessert requests like churros to the breakfasts and lunches. They are top notch chefs and can make anything you desire! The venue is an all around magical place and hosting our wedding here was the best decision we made. 5 stars. Would recommend to everyone.
