Camp Blue Ridge is a nonprofit Christian camp and retreat centre on Old Mill Road in Montebello, established in 1957 in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Its published summer programme is Family Camp - three Sunday-afternoon-to-Friday-morning weeks in 2026 (June 21-26, June 28-July 3 and July 5-10) that families attend together rather than a youth-only camp. Activities include canoeing and paddle boarding, a waterfront with a water slide and inflatables, go-carts, hiking, model rocketry, lapidary, woodshop, daily themed crafts and horseback riding through a partner outfitter. Programming fees are $222 per adult (13+) and $187 per child (5-12) per week with children 4 and under free, plus a cabin charge of $675-$1,300 per family; all meals are included. Outside Family Camp the site operates year-round as a group retreat and family getaway venue.

The staff and campers were, kind, prompt, and respectful of each other and the space. The cafeteria and bathrooms were always clean, and the food was great — with a good variety and healthy options. The activities were fun and practical with a chance to learn new skills that we may not have encountered otherwise. It was great to have worship and discussion options facilitated. The schedule of options is packed and things are a bit spread out, which is nice — and it did mean we had to skip things here and there to get some rest and showers in. All in all, a wonderful experience, and I’m sure we will be back.
