Camp Hydaway is a youth day camp at the Hydaway Outdoor Center near Lynchburg, on land owned by Liberty University and operated as a summer camp by Thomas Road Baptist Church. The day camp runs Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a giant water slide, kayaks and canoes, water toys, archery, nature trails and more.

★★★★★Diane VtHydaway is a beautiful outdoor experience! The lake with the sandy beach is so peaceful. There are many good trails to hike on around the lake and Liberty mountain. They have equipment to check out for the students, such as paddleboards, mountain bikes, canoes, and such. It is near the Liberty University gun range so you do hear the guns from there. There are grills to use, and campsites you can rent where you can have a bonfire. All in all, it's a great place for a relaxing day. Enjoy!
