Camp River's Bend is a traditional overnight camp for boys in the Alleghany Mountains at Millboro Springs, bordered by the George Washington National Forest and the Cowpasture River. Campers take part in archery, horseback riding, riflery, canoeing, fishing, campcraft, craftshop, field sports including lacrosse, flag football and soccer, plus baseball and basketball. The 2026 season runs six weeks from June 27 to August 8, and campers may attend the full session or one of two separate three-week sessions (June 27-July 18 or July 19-August 8); a shorter Intro Camp for ages 7 to 12 runs August 9-15. The camp is ACA-accredited and offers scholarships.
