Camp Baird/lenhoksin
Private
Camp Baird is the base camp for Lenhok'sin High Adventure at the Goshen Scout Reservation, a Boy Scouts of America backcountry program in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Crews spend five days and four nights on the trail backpacking across the reservation and surrounding game lands, with options for caving, rappelling, horsemanship, black-powder shooting, fishing and a James River canoe trek. It is an older-Scout overnight adventure program run by the National Capital Area Council.

Powered by GoogleBiard is now lenhok'sin, a high adventure camp where scouts hike around the lake to six outposts or to big butte
Home of Lenhok’sin high adventure, it is a wonderful site with 3 main structures, the commissary which contains the trading post (which does not have a slushy machine) and the food distribution center. There is the admin building which also has First Aid. And there is the dining hall where they base Maps and Orientation for you to plan out you trek. There are five sites for crews to stay at and there is a fairly large grass parking lot.
They got good pastries on the last day of camp
My old summer home away from home. Went to perform some service work to prepare the facilities for the upcoming summer camp.
Home of the Lenhok'sin Trail High Adventure camp. From here you depart into the forests surrounding lake Merriweather, hiking up and down mountains, interacting with wild life, and visiting themed camps participating in great activities. We hiked about 50 miles in 5 days, climbing the 5 main peaks, participated in archery, shooting, and paddleboarding. It was a trip we will all remember for a lifetime.
