Camp Acorn is a nonprofit social-enrichment day program in Mahwah for individuals with developmental disabilities, founded in 2001. Its nine-week summer camp offers cooking and life skills, horticulture therapy, art therapy, music and drama, sports, adaptive fitness, computers and swimming. The program does not age participants out - some campers who started as children still attend as adults - and it also hosts monthly dances during the school year.
