I spent a long weekend at camp Bristol hills. The entire time there was no hot water in the showers. The rest of the facilities seem to be very nice, but I really did want to take a shower.
This is an absolutely lovely camp. I went 30 years ago and now my teen is on his last year as a camper, hoping to be a counselor next year. Camp Bristol Hills offers so many wonderful learning opportunities for the kids that go there. Everything from photography, air rifle, horseback riding, swim lessons and even how to care for animals. The day is busy enough to keep the kids occupied but also allows for some decompression space each day. The camp has an RN on site 24/7 which has always eased my mind. The camp counselors are fun and compassionate and help to foster a feeling of community and inclusion. If your camper is nervous or gets home sick, they know just what to say to help them have a successful and fun week. Camp Bristol Hills is truly a wonderful experience!
I visited recently for a 4H training. The class and instructors were great. The camp itself was excellent. Set way back from the road, amazing sunset view, beautiful trails with pond, across the road, loaded with edible and medicinal plants. Additional pond on the camp ground with more trails, loaded with wildlife. The entire camp, including the main hall and kitchen, cabins, and restrooms were all clean and well kept. The camp was easy to navigate, although the cabins were pretty cramped together. Overall lovely visit.
My kids love the week they spend here each year!! Highly recommend this camp.
