We recently stayed at the Walnut Cabin at Camp Whitman on Seneca Lake as a group of 10 for 3 days, and it was an amazing experience! The location is absolutely beautiful. peaceful, scenic, and perfect for a summer getaway. The kids had a fantastic time with so much open space to run around and play. There’s plenty of room for outdoor activities like campfires and BBQs, which made our evenings really enjoyable. Wood for the fire was kindly provided by Bryan, who was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, we had a memorable time and would definitely visit again next summer. Highly recommended for families or groups looking for a peaceful retreat by the lake!

Stayed here with my husband in mid October & had a great time. The cabin was sufficient and clean. The shower house/ bathroom was functional & clean. They had availability on our desired weekend at super short notice. Price was nice, too. The grounds are beautiful, especially with all of the leaves having changed. My husband and I explored the property & LOVED the lake. Such a peaceful & uplifting experience.

Cabin we got ("Hawk") was super nice. Queen bed with a bunk bed, so sleeps 4 comfortably ... our party of 3 had space to spare. The interior was great, with very new-looking, spotlesly clean wood paneling on the walls and ceilings. Not a spider web or cob web or dust ball in sight. Very refreshing compared to a lot of what I'm used to seeing. Amenities/Features/Accomodations/Extras are all there. Electricity with plentiful outlets, fridge/freezer (not a mini), ceiling fan, hot/cold water, kitchenette with sink, microwave, coffee pot, first aid kit... even some supplies, like aluminum foil sheets, cleaning sprays, and paper towels were there waiting for us. Unlimited firewood is provided included in the cost! Never seen that before! But possibly our favorite aspect! The grounds themselves are great, too. Just a short stroll down to the lake front. Boats for rent at reasonable rates. The property is pretty large with enough trails to explore for a casual hiker. There's a pool open a few hours a day, if that's a thing you want. The lake says no "swimming", but you are free to go in the water and "wade". Which is all we look for. You can even have a fire or cook at the lakefront if you want. The staff are really friendly and very accommodating. There's a pond, too. There's only a few cabins for rent and they are generously spaced, so its very quiet and you aren't likely to feel crowded and you get plenty of privacy. Location is great, too. Highly recommend hitting up the Spotted Duck for some duck-eggfduck-egg custard. It's right in the wine trail. And just a short drive from Watkins Glen. Definitely looking to go back again!!

Our group normally rents this camp twice a year we help open and close it. This past weekend the camp was a complete disaster! Tables we would have normally used they were getting rid of them after this season and had burned the majority of them. The paint on the floors in the main building had been ground off with the intent of putting an epoxy finish but when we got there the floor and air were filled with a mixture of paint and concrete dust. We can only hope it wasn't lead paint. After several attempts to contact the office we finally got ahold of the maintenance man who told us she was on vacation. Very disappointed considering our cost to rent the entire camp.
