Powered by GoogleAwesome conference center and surrounding land/facilities/trails. Great spot for summer camps, excellent hiking trails that are well-marked (and open to the public), Beautiful overlooks and a waterfall trail. Fun events all year long for all to register and attend. It's worth a visit (or 100 visits!)
Amazing but the food was just below my liking but otherwise it’s perfect.👌
This review is based on staying at the Watson Homestead. I stayed five nights and I was disappointed. The rooms were quite dated. They reminded me of a bad Days Inn (some Days Inn's have seen better days). The bed was very uncomfortable and there was no comfortable chair to sit in. I even tried to put pillows on the chair and it still was uncomfortable. There is also no cell service and the wifi isn't really worth using. I suggest if you need to call someone and tell them you have arrived to call them a mile or two before you arrive because you won't be able to talk to them once you have arrived. The food was okay. Nothing memorable. One good thing I could say is that it was fairly clean.
Just got back from a week-long stay at the homestead, and could not be happier with the location and the staff. They were very accommodating--almost overly so! The food was terrific, and they went above and beyond for the vegetarian and gluten-free folks in our group. My kids enjoyed mini-golf and the archery lesson. They have a fantastic indoor pool, as well. I do wish that they'd been able to open up the pool for longer hours each day, but I understand that they are limited to the hours that lifeguards were available. We had plenty of space in the main lodge. On the day that we left, they had set up the main hall for a wedding. By the way--the chapel here is absolutely beautiful, and includes a lovely grand piano. If the decorations in the main hall are any indication of the attention to detail that is given to their weddings, you will not be disappointed if you chose Watson Homestead for your special day. And, of course, it goes without saying that I would highly recommend Watson Homestead for your retreat or group outing.
This is a wonderful place to have a wedding reception. I got married September 5 of this year. They were very accommodating. We had many guests that were from out of town and they were very happy with their accommodations. The people were very pleasant, I would highly recommend Watson Homestead for a wedding reception.
