My company Hager Photography had the absolute pleasure of photographing a wedding here at The YMCA Camp this summer and it was AMAZING. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique wedding experience. The camp is such a special venue! It's perfect if you want a laid back, low stress but still FUN wedding experience. You can't go wrong booking your wedding here.

I went here as a kid, twice both 2 weeks at a time. Loved it! So much to do and learn! And the cook was my social studies teacher in school! Food was beyond just "camp" food. I did polar swimming, pottery, outdoor woods programs, kyacking, Frisbee, basketball, arts n crafts. SO MUCH MORE!

I had the good fortune of attending an event at the YMCA Camp of Maine. The facility is quaint and thoughtfully planned. The space is perfect for community events in addition to the YMCA Camp itself. A beautiful location if you can find an excuse to go check it out.

I went to camp here from 1957 through 1960. (You do the math!). The memories are still with me. I hope the kids now enjoy it as much as I did. We had sports, crafts, and lots of bats in the buildings. All part of the camp experience! (I'm glad to see that girls can now enjoy it. When I was there, it was only boys.)

We had hosted our wedding weekend at the YMCA Camp of Maine in May and would highly recommend to couples looking for a beautiful venue where you can spend more than an evening with your guests. We had most of our friends and family stay over in the cabins all weekend - our older relatives opted for nearby hotels. Having a venue for the entire weekend allowed everyone to settle, relax and have fun. The ceremony site by the water was just beautiful, and the library located right there was so convenient for our wedding party to get ready and step out the door right into the ceremony. We used the picnic tables outside for our cocktail hour and the dining hall for our reception. Any space we gathered was more than spacious enough for our 130 party. It was very convenient to have full access to the huge commercial kitchen, so we could cook breakfast, lunch and non-reception dinners ourselves, certainly saving us some money on extra catering. We also loved that we were able to spend all day Sunday relaxing by the water and kayaking to an island, where one of the lifeguards showed us a spot to jump in the water Luke was fantastic to work with. From the touring and booking process to the actual event he was very responsive, kind and flexible. He stuck around on-site to make sure everything went perfectly. If there was any problem or question, he always answered the phone and was eager to help. He became family for the weekend. Overall we are so so glad we chose YMCA Camp of Maine for our weekend wedding celebration and have not stopped receiving compliments from our friends and family on how fun the weekend was. Highly, highly recommend a summer camp wedding here.
