I love this gym. Great vibe and always nice people and smiles.
They don’t allow day passes for families anymore and there is no notation of this anywhere on their website. I called before driving there and spoke with Ashley who said there was open swim, never mentioned I needed to be a member. Then I drove my 2 year old daughter here to use the pool and they offered me no assistance and Susan was very rude to me at the desk. This is not the point of a YMCA - it’s meant for everyone to have the ability to use it and I’m incredibly disappointed. The Bath YMCA offers day passes for families as well as every other YMCA I have ever been to.
We were members here for several years before having to switch to a different YMCA for swim lessons (since this one never has openings). Aside from never having openings for swim lessons, this specific YMCA doesn't allow visitors/guest passes on weekends. We were told this is policy, however that is not what the website states.
Our family has had pretty good experience with this location. They have separate restrooms that are kept quite clean. They have ample showers and changing rooms. The swimming pool is nice even if it does tend to run on the high chlorine side. They have a good assortment of apparatuses in the weight room and aerobic machines. Most of the staff are very helpful, however, there are some rough ones. They offer quite an assortment of classes and there is a preschool here too. The kids watch is really great. We have had a membership here for years and will continue to go in the future. If you found this review helpful, please hit the Like. Thanks.
