YMCA Camp Moody is a Greater Austin YMCA camp on an 85-acre nature preserve along Onion Creek in Buda, about 15 miles from downtown Austin. It offers full-day day camps, outdoor adventure camps, and half-day camps (plus developing overnight and outdoor-education programs) across roughly 12 weeks of summer. Weekly themes feature archery, atlatl, a challenge course, canoeing, fishing, hiking, swimming, and team-building.

Note the website is not accurate: the pool is regularly used by the YMCA swim team and Buda athletics which means on weekdays you can show up and the entire pool is in use. They also have wonky hours like closing from 11-4pm in the day, every day. YMCA needs to either find a way to fully staff this pool or update their hours and not waste members time.

The staff is always super friendly and the memberships are not only flexible and affordable but they also give you access to the other Greater Austin YMCA facilities. The highlights are definitely the massive pool and the outdoor walking trails.
