Camp Young Judaea Texas is a Jewish overnight camp on 180 acres of Hill Country along Cypress Creek in Wimberley, less than an hour from Austin. Sessions run from three days to roughly three and a half weeks for entering grades 1 through 12, grouped by grade from Mini Mensch and Nitzanim through Bogrim and Segel, with a 12th-grade MIT leadership track. Facilities include an aquatics centre with two three-storey water slides, a lake for swimming, stand-up paddleboarding and canoeing, a full high and low ropes course with a 50-foot climbing wall, giant swing and zip line, and courts and fields for basketball, tennis, pickleball, soccer, baseball, archery and gaga. Jewish life runs through the programme via Shabbat and Judaism and Israel activities; the camp is an ACA member and is licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services.
