Overcrowded summer camp. You are taking in way more children than your activity capacity allows for. You promised a load of exciting outdoor activities and funs, and the children hardly get to do them! Hundreds of kids rotate through them and they are lucky if they get a turn in every three or four days. And what do they do in other days? Sit in their lodge or throw them into the pool. My son was so bored every day and not wanting to go. Picking up children was a painful daily car line wait and checking in - worse than a public school pickup. And all as a result of taking in way more kids than your facility can handle. My son has been to many summer camps and has never complained about being bored. What greed to take in all the fees and not do your job with false advertising.

We just hosted our daughter’s 4th birthday party in the Tiny Town area at Twin Lakes Family YMCA, and it was absolutely wonderful! The birthday party packages are incredibly affordable - even for non-members - and offer amazing value. A massive shoutout to our birthday hosts, Brittanae and Saanika! They were both spectacular and took care of every single detail from start to finish. Because of them, we were actually able to relax and enjoy the party instead of stressing over the logistics. If you are looking for a stress-free, fun, and budget-friendly venue for a kid's birthday, I highly recommend this YMCA!

We chose YMCA Twin Lakes for my child's birthday party - specifically Tiny Town. The birthday staff was helpful, responsive, and enthusiastic from my initial contact until the party was over. Brittanae and her team did a great job walking me through their options and making sure everything went as planned on the big day. They were prepared with anything that we forgot to bring, and took all the planning off my plate so I didn't have to worry about anything. The facility was clean and organized, and the staff was more than capable of handling the chaos of a kid's birthday party. The pictures of the Tiny Town area online definitely undersell how great the room is for kids. The pricing is unbeatable for what you get with the hands-on coordinator service and the facility. They genuinely cared that everyone had a great time, and made it the easiest party planning experience I've had.

The parking lot and facilities are unsafe, and the staff doesn’t care when you get hurt. The sound paneling was on the ground in the cardio theater and the lights were turned off, so I (a pregnant woman) tripped and fell. Did they pick up the sound paneling to prevent it from happening again? No. Did they fix the lights so they can’t be turned off again? No. Did they care if I or my unborn baby was hurt? No. They looked like deer in headlights when I told them what happened and barely had two brain cells to rub together to figure out how to remedy the situation. I also saw someone step on a spike in the parking lot and stab their foot. When they alerted the staff, no one cared at all. They asked 0 follow up questions or even fix the issue. It’s been over a year and the spike is STILL THERE. They need to be more careful or they will get lawsuits. Not to mention this place is small and overpacked and you can barely use the gym because too many people go here. They just spent millions of dollars to build a climbing jungle gym next door, but they should’ve used those funds to expand the facilities. Edit: the director called me after I left this review. She apologized that no one reached out after I fell (even though they said they would call me the next day). She said the county manages the parking lot and she would alert them to the spikes. She tried to make it right, which I appreciate. However, I wish the rest of the staff did this back when the incident(s) occurred, not just when I leave a bad review. She said she will be doing staff training and implementing better policies.

Starting back at the gym when you’re out of shape can be intimidating, but my experience at the Cedar Park YMCA has been great, especially with the EGYM setup. Josh walked me through the EGYM process and made everything easy to understand and comfortable from the start. He’s incredibly friendly and helpful. Since my initial EGYM setup, I see him every time I work out. He always greets me by name and checks in on my progress, which really helps with motivation and accountability. It’s made getting back into fitness feel approachable and encouraging.
