Figment Creative Labs is an Austin children's art studio and STEAM maker space (off Brodie Lane, established 2013) that runs summer day camps for ages 4–12. Campers make art and work on maker-education projects across an art studio, maker space and discovery lab, with an outdoor play area and class pets. It also offers after-school, homeschool and preschool programs.

Powered by GooglePretty cool place as far as imagination, creativity and play areas go. I wasn't sure if my son would find enough to do but the ability to kind of choose different playscapes is unique. Also did parents nights out there once, one of the ladies was sitting with my son during the movie and seemed personable with the kiddos
As a homeschooling parent, Figment is our home away from home. I feel a deep gratitude for the space that is held for children (and parents) here!! The network of talented, passionate, caring people that work here are able to create a one of a kind experience in a safe place for children to connect and play. There is a unique perspective offered here with a devotion for children and families that is not found elsewhere.
Positive stars: This small establishment is cute as a whole concept and the staff is friendly. The animals are adorable. Negative stars: Parking was not convenient. And we didn't really enjoy our playgroup. Signed up and paid for an hour and half but left early. The rooms are too small and very cluttered which becomes extremely crowded quickly. Took an hour to get here and was pretty disappointed. When it states playgroup, I was thinking kids would play together and there would be someone kind of interacting with them to do activities but that's not it. I even had spoke to Yesenia on the phone before coming and she was whom convinced me to come. The parents and children both weren't friendly nor welcoming to both me and my toddler. It was hard for my toddler to make friends. She tried talking to other kids. Initiating play, even holding hands as a friendly gesture and was ignored. It was sad to watch, really. I myself tried to converse with other parents but got the cold shoulder.. a lot of random toys but nothing that my toddler found interested in for longer than 5 minutes. Just seemed like a germ pool more so than a playgroup. No kids were playing with each other, really. More so like a place where you go with your kid so they can thrkw stuff around while the adult is on the phone. My toddler also fell hard several times from tripping on huge random rocks outside on the playground.
Figment Creative Labs is such a dream place for kids! We have had birthday parties, attended for day camps, summer camps, and Spring Break camps. They have an incredibly kind and supportive staff who keeps the kiddo chaos organized and engaging. My daughter asked me to pick her up later each time because she wants to stay. What a gem of a place!
Finding Figment Creative is such a gift for our fam! Our daughter has been enrolled in the homeschool group two days a week and she looks forward to going every single time! She brings projects and new ideas home daily and her time here has absolutely sparked the creative in her! We are so thankful for the environment, the connection and the growth. Thank you!
