My family and I took a trip to Fort Casey State park and the last battery is so hard to get to because of the stupid property line. It’s incredibly disheartening that half of the Fort was taken over by this YMCA now there’s so much history left out of such a cool historical place because you wanted a heated pool… all the picture attached are all the historic military buildings you can no longer explore because of this business. Everyone clap for erasing historical landmarks for luxury and privilege.

The view is just spectacular. The sound of waves, the cool breeze on a hot summer day, simply amazing. You can spend the whole day at the beach and on the field. The living rooms and lunch room was in good condition. Imagine our shock when we settled into the house. Musky mold-like smell, broken blinds (sun seeped in the whole day and we were boiling), dust everywhere and the bathrooms were in terrible condition. The toilet ring was permanently yellow. The outlets barely works. Internet is too slow. Even reception for your own internet is slow. This was less dorm style and more like Halloween house. We were so disheartened to see this kind of neglect and bad service at an otherwise beautiful location. We have stayed dorm-style centers before but never experienced this kind of downfall in hygiene and maintenance. We will not be coming back again. For the hefty price this place doesn't live up to its promise.

Great place. Can get cold at night so bring a sweater. The camp the gun inplacements and everything is really really cool.
