Kamp Kookamunga is a summer day camp run by the City of Lynnwood's Recreation Center, operating for over 30 years. Week-long day-camp sessions for kids feature theme-based arts and crafts, songs and skits, swimming trips, field trips, goofy games and nature hikes through a 40-acre wooded park. Adventure and sport camps run during summer and school breaks.

With this $150 weekly program, your kids aren't just outdoors, they are in a forest and surrounded by big trees providing heat relief. There's a forest ampitheater they do skits and songs in and craft tables and free play with a tire swing as well as structured organized games. Kids have a different counselor each week so they get to know the all and other kids rotating in and out of various weeks (you can enroll in as many or few as you want). Siblings see each other through the day but are in different groups. Two field trips are included weekly. Common places are museums, Lynnwood pool, Matthews Beach, movies, bowling.
