Word of Life runs a group of Christian overnight youth camps in the Adirondacks, with registration and check-in at the Jack Wyrtzen Center in Pottersville and camps split by age: The Ranch for grades 1-5, The Ridge/The Wild for grades 6-8, and The Island on Schroon Lake for grades 9-12. Weeks run Sunday afternoon to Saturday morning, with waterfront activities including wakeboarding and water tubing, paintball, and a daily Bible teaching and chapel program; campers may stay up to three consecutive weeks. Electronic devices are collected at the start of the week. Nurses are on duty 24 hours a day, the organization states its camps are approved and inspected at least twice annually by the state Department of Health, and scholarships and paid shuttle transportation from Albany airport, Amtrak and bus stops are available.

We list only what the camp itself publishes, and programs change — dates, prices, ages and availability can all move after we check. Confirm the details on the camp’s own website and contact Word of Life Fellowship directly before you register or pay. Last checked August 2026.

Some of the people are cool, the origination over all is pretty shady though.
