Ventures in Nature runs an all-outdoor summer day camp in the Watchung Reservation, off Tracy Drive in Mountainside, with no screens. Each day has a theme - ecology, art, survivor skills, rock climbing, photography - paired with hiking and stream wading in age-grouped bands from 2.5 to 14 years. Camps run weekly Monday-Friday with a full day (9:00-3:30) or half-day option (AM 9:00-12:00, PM 12:30-3:30). Preschool and pre-K classes run under its Trails for Kids program.
