Powered by GoogleMy, now, adult sons attended and loved Camp Riverbend for many years. Today my grandson had a precamp visit. I always thought it was great!!!!!! Now it is greater. So much to do and such incredibly enthusiastic staff. Such a wonderful place for a kid to spend the summer.
Wish I could give a 10 star review!! My daughter & our entire family absolutely adore Riverbend and the entire staff. And when I say staff, I mean STAFF - counselors, division heads, bus drivers, specialty instructors, bus counselors, nurses, chefs, hype guy, greeters, lifeguards, swim instructors….even parking attendants that juggle (yes really!) Every time she is there, she grows a little more confident & progresses a new skill (swimming, climbing, soccer, basketball, yoga, crafting…I can’t list them all!) There are activities on the way to activities. There are songs about the activities. There are camp traditions and make believe stories and all the things you think of when you imagine an idyllic, safe childhood summer where kids are encouraged to be kids. The magic of Riverbend and genuine love for children is in their DNA. And it is so clearly a result of meticulous planning, preparation, and training honed over 60+ years. Thank you Riverbend!! Can’t think of a better foundation for our kids. ❤️❤️❤️
I'm never taking my child they lied that I did not pass the swim test and my dad saw that I did not appropriate
Do not recommend! My children had a terrible experience. The counselors are neglectful and have no interest in your child. My son claims other children tried to throw him off the boat and the counselors did nothing about it. To this day he’s cautious to get on boats because of his experience at Camp Riverbend.
My 11-year-old son just completed three-week of summer camp at Camp Riverbend, and I can honestly say it was an experience he'll cherish forever. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel like part of the Camp Riverbend family. The variety of activities kept my son engaged and excited every single day—from sports and swimming to arts and crafts and adventure challenges, he was always eager to share his new experiences. What truly impressed me was the level of care and attention given to each camper. The counselors are incredibly dedicated, ensuring that every child not only has fun but also grows in confidence and builds lasting friendships. My son came home with a newfound sense of independence, and he's already talking about all the things he can't wait to do when he returns next summer. Camp Riverbend has given my son three weeks of memories that will last a lifetime. I can't recommend this camp highly enough to any parent looking for a place where their child can thrive. Thank you, Camp Riverbend, for making this summer truly special!
