Urban Mountain Adventures is a Lynchburg nonprofit that partners with local youth organizations and ministries to take urban young people on outdoor trips - whitewater rafting, rock climbing and rappelling, backpacking, camping and fishing - paired with Christ-centered mentoring. It sends its youth to summer camp and to fall and spring group retreats at no cost to the families it serves. Participation runs through its partner youth programs rather than open public enrollment.
