ONE Forest School is a nonprofit, nature-based forest school at Smith Mountain Lake in Huddleston, founded in 2019, that runs a 10-week summer camp for children ages 2 to 12. Programming is learner-led and outdoors, building emotional intelligence through bushcraft skills, forest theater, nature crafting, campfire activities and forest discovery, with an E-STREAM project curriculum and guest speakers from Ferrum College and the Virginia Museum of Natural History.
