We love the YMCA - it’s one of my families favorite places to go! Friendly staff, very clean, and we especially like the swim lessons and aquatics staff. My kids have been taking swim lessons for 4 years and we have been so happy with the swim instructors, lifeguards, pool facilities, and Aquatics staff. I would definitely recommend the Y for swim lessons to anyone looking for their children!

The front desk staff are very welcoming, and the customer service is top-notch. I really like this facility it’s clean and very kid-friendly. The recent renovations are definitely a plus. Overall, it’s my favorite YMCA. If you have kids and need some time for yourself, they also offer babysitting services, which is a great bonus.

Our family wanted to share how much we love athletics at the Tri-County Y! We are a homeschooling family with four boys, aged 6y, 7y, 9y, and 11y. We’ve been members of the Y for many years, and it has been such a gift to watch our sons grow in confidence, skills, and physical health through programs such as: flag football, homeschool gym, basketball skills, speed and agility track, swimming lessons, and a variety of other skills classes. I feel safe sending my sons over 8y to the gym to play, because they feel seen, known, and cared for by some of the staff they have had the blessing of getting to know. In particular, we have been grateful for the ever-adaptive efforts of Randy Howard, who has always been supportive of the homeschool community and our family in general. His positive attitude and athletic and coaching abilities have been such a beautiful influence on my sons, especially those struggling with their mental health. They have opportunities to grow in confidence and their athletic skills, in a huge way thanks to Randy’s efforts to make them feel invited and important. Our family feels like the Tri-County Y has been more than a membership for us; it has been a true community and home for our family. Thank you!!

Long-time member. Appreciate the continous improvement of the weight and fitness areas. Indoor walking and running track a blessing in winter. While I don't use the pool, I know that many do including families for swimming lessons, etc. The front desk folks are generally excellent. A hidden benefit may be that I can access YMCA's across the country as I travel.

Horrible experience at this gym facility today. My mother was registered for the 10:15 Strength and Stamina class taught by Julie. We arrived at the gym around 10:13 and was checked in around 10:17. When we walked to the class we were immediately stopped by a woman named Mary-who did not state her role or job title. She abruptly informed us the class was full and that my mother could not attend. Although my mom was properly registered, Mary claimed that because she was not 5 minutes early for the class, her reserved spot was given away to someone on the waitlist. She insisted this was company policy and has been for months. The issue is- this policy is nowhere to be found during class registration and seems to be inconsistently enforced as I personally know people who'd arrive and be allowed to attend at start time and beyond. Seeking clarification, I spoke to the front desk staff. They confirmed my mom was registered and there shouldn't be any issues, they were not aware of any policy Mary insisted existed. We were accompanied by front desk staff member, Alicia, who was not only clueless but mute while Mary kept enforcing this 5 minute policy. As African-American members in a predominantly white facility, this experience was particularly troubling. While I cannot speak to intent, the combination of selective enforcement, lack of transparency, and hostile treatment raises serious concerns about potential racial bias. No member should feel singled out, unwelcome, or disrespected when following registration procedures. Mary is uncouth, aggressive and unprofessional. I will be taking this incident further.
