The Y in Pasadena is a YMCA of Central Maryland branch offering full-day summer day camps at its Magothy Beach Road site. Programs run from a preschool day camp (entering PreK–K) through outdoor and specialty day camps (entering grades K–6), with activities including swimming, archery, gaga ball, water play, science, sports and crafts. Free extended camp hours are available mornings (7–9am) and afternoons (4–6pm), and Y membership is required to register.

★Shana RobinsonI have been an active member at this YMCA for 6 years and this summer has been the absolute worse. Today I arrived at the pool at 11am and at 1 we are still sitting here! I have seen about 6 families leave the pool area and they only called back one family. I was told it’s only 3 lifeguards on duty so they can’t have too many people in the pool, I would like to know when did staffing issues become a problem for the customers! It’s no fun watching not only my kids but others sitting around with nothing to do while we are hoping and praying for our turn to swim! The YMCA IS A GOOD INVESTMENT, but lately I’ve been second guessing my membership!
★★Patrick SheehanGreat pool, but the amount of rules is over the top. Some of the lifeguards are on a power trip. Hard to enjoy yourself when kids and adults are constantly reprimanded. I will come back but not frequently. The Arnold Y has a much smaller pool but the staff are much friendlier and they let your kid have fun.

★★Ashley WI love the Y and think the pool and little splash pad is great. However, I think it gets way too crowded and I’m not sure they have a capacity. If they do, I think it should be lowered. The last time I went, the pool was so crowded, it was hard to even swim. I can’t imagine it being easy for the lifeguards to be able to see everything happening. It is a little frustrating to see two giant pools open, but children aren’t allowed in and they are pretty empty. Again,the pool is beautiful but for $91 a month, I would like to be able to swim with my kids, not just stand in one spot or trying to make my way through a ton of people.
★★★★Heather RingWe just joined 3weeks ago and enjoy the facility..however it would be nice if they would make a rule that children that are not potty trained cannot use the leisure pool.there is a"baby" pool here and that should be used by younger ones. There is too many "mistakes" happening in the leisure pool which then makes it gets closed down...
