Powered by GoogleHonestly where do I even start... This place is trash to say the least. The facility is extremely dirty and unkempt from when you walk in, to the disgusting bathrooms. The lights do not even properly work with them flickering every 2 seconds. The changing rooms were insane. I do not think anything has ever been wiped down in there. It should be mandatory to wipe down in between sessions. The bathrooms are out of order or only have one stall working same with the sinks and paper towels thrown about. Naked children just roaming the back rooms. No toys for kids to play with when waiting just some cute turtles though. Floors constantly wet in the main waiting room but I watched as an employee wanted to clear the water from the pool area instead. Mommy and Me classes are more dad and baby. I wish I had known that prior as I was the only woman in the pool with a bikini on surrounded by dads peering at me the entire time. The instructor did not do a thing but show us what she was doing. Being our first "lesson", I was expecting some sort of curriculum or at least the instructor to introduce herself as I thought she was another mom. I have been extremely disappointed so far and will not be returning.
My 7-year-old daughter almost drowned in a pool with at least 3 instructors present. She followed a male instructor in the deep end, and he never even looked back. I had to bang on the glass, and my husband ran into the pool area to alert him to lift her out of the water. The same instructor proceeds to have a conversation with a nosy bystander about the incident, claiming she just panicked and that she can swim (blatant lies). Now, weeks later, I'm fighting for a bare-minimum refund. The offer for private lessons as a counter was an additional slap in the face. I still have not received a call from a district manager, as I was advised I would. Stay far away from this location if you want to keep your children safe.
I am saddened to write this review of one star. We had been members of swim first for years for both of our children. As a gift one of our family members got or daughter one session of private instruction. We were unwittingly enrolled in auto-enrollment and $290 was charged for a second session which we did not approve. This was in July (writing this review in October after another”someone from management will call you back” response) and we have yet to hear from management after many messages have been relayed to them. We love the staff and instructors, they are great with kids, skilled instructors and kind. Our issue is with upper management who refuse to address very severe issues in their system. We are left frustrated and unheard and have to resort to leaving a bad review to warn other families of the issues with the upper management/ owners.
Kids First really is a great school and all the staff and instructors are super friendly, especially Ms. Mary! Our daughter has been coming for years now and still loves it. Multiple skill levels and class types allow us to get her the instruction she needs. Auto-pay makes monthly billing hassle free!
I’ve had a very frustrating experience with this business. I paid for six classes and used three, but after missing a month, I wanted to confirm the remaining class times. However, no one ever got back to me. Every time I called, if someone answered, they told me I needed to speak with the manager, Cate. Despite months of trying, I have never been able to reach her, nor has she contacted me. I understand they have a no-refund policy, but I simply want clarification on the classes I paid for. Poor communication and customer service.
