I recently had the privilege of attending my niece Teagan's graduation from The Rivers School in Boston, and I can genuinely say I was moved to tears walking the campus. What I saw wasn’t just a school—it was a vision of what education should be. Every detail, from the facilities to the faculty energy, showed an unwavering commitment to student excellence. With only around 90 students per grade and class sizes of just 4 or 5, each student receives an education that’s not just personal, but powerful. The resources blew me away—a full robotics lab, a dedicated physics department, and student-driven projects like real-world product launch campaigns. This isn’t about checking boxes. It’s about unlocking potential. The entire staff seemed devoted to one mission: pushing the greatness out of every student, shaping them into leaders, creators, and deep thinkers. It was emotional for me. I couldn’t help but reflect on my own high school experience—an environment where minds went unchallenged, support was scarce, and accountability was non-existent. I wonder what I could’ve done with opportunities like these. How far could my curiosity and drive have taken me if I'd had the same tools and encouragement? The Rivers School doesn’t just educate; it inspires, elevates, and empowers. Every child deserves what my niece had—a place that believes in their ability to be elite at whatever they choose to pursue. If every school were like this, the future would be unstoppable. The Rivers School is a model. A blueprint. And witnessing its impact firsthand has forever changed how I see education.

We are grateful to all our teachers and the school - we love you and the music you nurture. Bravo!!! Our three children started piano, violin, cello and flute lessons at Indian Hill Music School, and transferred to Rivers School Conservatory to further their musical growth. At the time, we chose Rivers over NEC Preparatory because of easier access and better prospects for scholarship, as we were getting the same outstanding teachers who teach in both schools. We are more than happy we made that choice. Staff at Rivers, teachers as well as administrative staff, are led with vision for the highest standards of excellence in music education. They pay special attention to musical development and special needs of each child individually. They are dedicated to promoting their students and exposing them to different musical experiences - weekly possibilities for workshops and recitals in a charming concert hall, orchestra possibilities for all levels of players, piano and string competitions, annual seminar on contemporary music (composition students love this one), truly amazing chamber music program with possibility of full scholarship, and masterclasses with world-class musicians and music educators. We highly recommend Rivers School Conservatory.

I attended RSC for around 12 years while growing up and it was a great experience! I’m thankful for the piano skills I learned working with my teacher weekly. The RSC community is very welcoming, and recitals were a good way to build confidence in performing. I got the chance to get feedback from many different teachers throughout the year, too, which of course only strengthened my learning. At 22, I continue to play piano in my free time, so I definitely still appreciate my experience at RSC!
