The staff here is just and miss. We've had a membership here for over a year for four family members and half the staff treats us like they hate us or they've never seen us before and the other half treats us like family. It's a stark enough difference that we have left when we see certain staff members here and despite the manager being great, but we're thinking about moving in to a new gym..

This facility used to be a place of fun with great people and enjoyable sports. Unfortunately, that’s no longer the case. Pickleball and volleyball have gone downhill significantly over the years. I only stop by occasionally for volleyball now, but every time I come back it feels worse than the last. In a single 3-hour period, there can be 6–7 teams rotating, which makes play rushed, disorganized, and frustrating. The biggest issue is organization. There’s little structure, poor coordination, and it feels like the same problems have been ignored year after year. It’s disappointing, especially for residents who live in the city and want to support their local rec center. What makes it more frustrating is that nearby facilities show how it should be done. I often choose to go to NRH Rec, where sports are well-organized and clearly managed by a strong coordinator. It’s sad to see the decline, because this place used to be something special. With better organization and leadership, it could be again but right now, it’s falling short.

Korey is a gem! He made it effortless to join The Link, sign up for exercise classes, and went above and beyond when the bingo people didn't show up. I'm sure he's going to be even busier when the renovations are completed but I bet he'll still be smiling and serving everyone like family! Good job sir!!!

I’ve only used the Link for after school care for a few years now and summer program for my youngest last year. The cost is inexpensive for me as a single mom and very helpful. My experiences haven’t always been 100% perfect but when I’ve brought up the issues I did have they were addressed properly. I do feel some of the younger counselors do need some more experience and growing in their career but everyone has nothing but love and care for my children! I love that they actually play with the kids and do crafts and such instead of just being “baby sitters”. The last two years Alexis has gone out of her way and recognized all the children in the after care link and gotten them gifts for Christmas, and seriously puts thought into each gift for my kids! As long as the link is available for after care at my kids school and affordable for me I will continue to use them.

Reviews of my 35th visit to a facility on 75 DFW / North Texas cities with 309 locations. This one is The Link Recreation Center in Richland Hills. DPA (Dallas Pickleball Associations) Rating: Overall, 8.7/10*. This place looks really nice and clean inside. Location on 6750 Baker Blvd, Richland Hills, TX 76118. The Link Recreation Center has 3 Indoor courts: floors rubberized material. (8.3/10 Court rating). All 3 courts were being used at my arrival time of 9:40 on Mon 08 26 2024. Court 1 is for Beginners & Intermediate. Court 3 is for Advance players. Court 2 rotates between B&I and A. Court 1 Level of Play 2.5 – 3.2. Court 3 level play was 3.5 – 4.0. Pickleball everyday (Mon-Sun) see flyer for dates and Times. One OP evening: Tuesday 6pm -7:55 pm. Lighting was very good. Placing paddles in stacks on bench court 3; court 1 uses stacking paddles on a table. Orange indoor Onix ball is the primary ball used. Ceilings were approximately 22 feet high. The rubberized flooring is some of the best as far as less stress on joints and legs. The ball bounces consistent. The problem with this facility there is air pockets which causes some issues in the flooring(luckily the problem areas are outside of the court. They will probably fix this floor sometime this year. This floor issue caused a lower court ranking. The flooring didn’t cause any issue when I played on Court 3 this morning. Pros: $5 DI and $15 month for PB only. Free for most senior insurance programs. See flyer for all programs covered. Not too crowded. Many Open Play times. Cons: Flooring needs work. *The DPA review was my own view, this was based on my visit at that particular time and day. The review might have been different on another day and/or time. Everyone has their own opinion.
