The Conservatory at Highlands
Private
Week-long summer music sessions at a Newton Highlands music school, with three tracks: Band Camp (rock and jazz bands), String Camp and Beginners Band. Students age 6 and up are placed in ensembles by age and experience, play their favorite songs under faculty direction, try instruments new to them and take part in music games and crafts; the week ends with a concert for family and friends. Recording sessions and outside breaks at the Newton Highlands playground are part of the week. Students bring their own instruments when they have them.

Powered by GoogleI am loving my lessons. After a long lifetime of wonderful piano teachers, I have the very best NOW: Ms. Irene Choi...unbelievably talented teacher. The Conservatory makes it extremely easy to schedule and cancel lessons. It is the best.
It's our 2nd year having our 4th grader take music lessons here. It's a 12 out of 10. Teacher quality is great. My kid loves going. And it's a great parent experience. At the start of the school year I emailed a bunch of dates where I knew I had conflicts and they were automatically taken off the invoice. I love how flexible they are.
This is a fantastic place to learn music as an adult or as a child/youth . I would highly recommend the Conservatory to anyone. They have fantastic instructors playing all instruments (many multiple) for any level. (I started playing guitar a few years ago in middle age with NO background.) I have been taking both private guitar lessons and ensemble (band/group) lessons there and now am playing pretty complicated songs in a group and love it. Also very supportive and nice staff and instructors. They really go out of their way to make sure you have the support you need, sending tips by text in addition to class, accommodating schedules, running great recitals and all. Give them a try you will love the place!
A few years ago when we were looking for places for my son to learn guitar we found the Conservatory. The facility is brand new and high end (they even have a fancy drinking machine). The sound proof of the rooms is great and the staff are so friendly. They have amazingly flexible and easy payment process for family and it was so easy to work with them. Owner Dave is incredibly accommodating and so is our guitar teacher Pat. Pat always taught my son for extra time which was truly appreciated. I was sad that we couldn't stay but this is a great place that I felt strongly to recommend to families in the area.
The Conservatory is incredible. Almost all of our family members have taken classes there in some form. The instructors are at the top of their craft, and are gifted in meeting each individual child or adult where they are and bringing out their full musical potential, all in a supportive and fun environment. I can't imagine our lives without the Conservatory in it! Highly recommend for anyone looking to further their musical education at any level.
