The YMCA of Northern Utah runs a traditional summer day camp for ages 5 to 12 at its Taylorsville YMCA Community Family Center, with arts and crafts, group games, character development, weekly swimming and local field trips or special guest experiences. Drop-off runs 7:30 to 9:30 AM and pick-up 4:30 to 6:00 PM, and camp provides a morning snack, lunch and an afternoon snack in a nut-free facility. On days when schools are closed during the school year, School's Out Camp runs full days from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM for kindergarten through 5th grade, with breakfast, lunch, snacks and field trips included. The center also offers before-school care for Fremont Elementary students and afterschool care for Fremont and Vista Elementary students, and the DWS childcare subsidy is accepted.
