Powered by GoogleAs of March 2024, this club has a new Director and this place is fantastic! I have a kiddo in pre-k and one who is picked up from his elementary to their after-school program. I would highly recommend both of these programs to anyone needing child care. The staff is well trained, in touch with the kids' needs, and management is friendly and professional. Plus, the price can't be beat.
My son has been attending Boys and Girls Club Sugarhouse for over a year now and he really enjoys the after-school program that picks him up from school. The program is very affordable. We have observed that his teachers care about him and he seems to know several teachers and staff members. They always greet him with a friendly “hi”. Everyone is kind, responsible, and easy to talk to. The facility is generally clean, but it can get messy at times due to the large number of children from PreK to high schoolers. There is a lot of foot traffic, but there is also plenty of space for play and activities. They have a full gym for the children to do activities, but I wish they allowed more time for the younger students to play in there. My son has had no issues making friends and for the most part, the kids are nice and friendly. He has even made friends with older children, which is nice. Sometimes older kids can have varying attitudes. Overall, there are pros and cons to every child facility. However, we are happy as long as our son comes out happy and safe.
This place and the staff are the biggest blessings to me and my sons life. If I explained how much the staff here, has done for us, it’d be a novel. This is the place my son looks forward to going to every day. I trust the staff here with my life. Bre and Jasmine are amazing. They have gone out of their way to help us and I do not know what we would have done without them. Thank you guys! Everything you do, does not go unnoticed. We love and appreciate you so much!
Kids cooking in a prison like yard... my boy was bullied and unattended so long and severely that he couldn't even watch a movie that had a kid(not bully) who looked like his abuser. Also, the bathroom rules are lazy and arbitrary only walky talky one kid at a time. So when my kid let them know he had to go, they made him stay seated even though there are many stalls... he wet himself in that spot, was so ashamed, and then (they wont let me donate clothes for these emergencies so) a mom let my boy wear her daughters underwear. So, my kid at daycare humiliated and in younger girls undies with only a shirt... somehow he and I were in trouble. Terrible management and communication... I'm so mad. I pulled my kid out as fast as possible
My son has been attending this Club for the past 5 years! He loves it and so do I. I love that it is a licensed day care so I know he's safe and well taken care of. The staff members are friendly and fun. My son goes to the after-school program during the year and the all day summer camp. They pick him up from school every day and he comes home with his homework done and has had a healthy snack. They go on field trips, plan fun activities, and they also teach great programs like computer safety, anti-drug and alcohol programs and more! My son also loves playing all the sports they offer in their community sports leagues for Jr. Jazz, Indoor Soccer, Outdoor Soccer, and Flag Football. I love that he is in a place where he is safe with adults who really care about him. A great place!
