★Ryan HorlacherWithin 5 minutes of the pool closing I was approached by 2 different life guards and asked to leave so they could “leave sooner.” I was there with my 4 kids and was actively trying to get them ready to go. Other life guards were spraying down the benches right next to us in what felt like another tactic to hurry us out. This review is just for the pool. The front desk attendants were great. I haven’t used the other facilities.

★★★★Clara WarrickWe only ever go to the pool, but it is a great pool!! The play structure has two small slides, and there is a big lazy river with a whirlpool in the middle. There's also a big indoor water slide for all ages! I appreciate that the water gets deep enough for me keep my toddler's torso under the water (to keep her warm) without having to squat while I carry her around the pool.
★★★Ellie LaughbonThe place is nice and clean and when you're actually able to go swimming it's fun. My children enjoy going there. However, it's a pain to have to call every time we decide to go just to make sure the pool is open. There always seems to be something wrong with scheduling or another. Also, there have been a few times we have gone and been treated quite rudely. Once, completely ignored and when we were finally told to go in another line because she was too busy she was rude about it. All she needed to do was hand me a wrist band for my daughter. Two seconds. That's all it would have taken.
★MarkMy experience at the South Jordan Recreation Center was extremely disappointing, and my frustration is entirely due to the lifeguard staff. The lifeguards are consistently stoic and unfriendly, creating a very unwelcoming atmosphere. The head guards were even worse—they seemed to have no sense of others being there and just walked around doing nothing. This lack of engagement and general unfriendliness is a major problem. Until they get a whole new group of guards, I will not be returning. This is the worst Salt Lake County rec center I've been to. The other facilities in the valley are staffed with helpful and pleasant people, so it's a shame that the South Jordan location falls so far short. Management needs to get better people or take notes from other rec centers on how to treat patrons.
