Special Olympics Rhode Island
Special Olympics Rhode Island is a statewide nonprofit providing year-round sports training and competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Youth offerings include the Young Athletes program (ages 2-7) introducing basic sport skills and Unified Juniors (ages 8-15) based out of local YMCA branches, plus summer sports such as swimming, soccer skills, track and field, sailing and golf. It is a sports-training and competition organization rather than a dedicated summer day camp.
