Southwestern Yacht Club runs a junior sailing program on San Diego Bay with classes offered year-round and as a dedicated Summer Sailing Program. Levels span beginner to advanced, sailing Naples Sabots, O'Pen Skiffs, Lasers and Laser Radials, CFJs, Club 420s and a J-24; families who do not own a boat can charter one from the club's fleets. The program includes a junior race team, and the club's wider youth offering also covers fishing and cruising.
