Side Quest Social Club is a small, kid-led makerspace day camp for tweens on the Humboldt Park/Logan Square border in Chicago. Campers get certified on the shop's machines, use computers for coding and design, work with arts and crafts materials, and build their own games, stories and adventures; days are structured by the kids themselves around a morning meeting, an afternoon check-in and a clean-up, and sometimes lead to field trips around the neighborhood. Day camp runs 9:00am to 4:00pm with before-care from 8:00am and after-care until 6:00pm, and families can book a full week or a single drop-in day. All activities are tailored to ages 9 to 13, group size is capped around 15, campers bring their own lunch, and personal devices stay in a locker.
