Coach Mike is truly exceptional. He strikes the perfect balance between making lessons fun and engaging while keeping safety and real skill-building at the forefront. I appreciate that he was encouraging yet held high expectations, always pushing the kids to do their best without ever babying them. He instilled so much confidence in my daughter—showing her she could do it, even when it felt hard. He was always upbeat, positive, and patient (even with groups of energetic toddlers!), and his good mood set the tone for every class. We couldn’t have asked for a better swim coach!

My 4 year old daughter has been taking lessons with Mike since the summer. She had no experience in a pool before starting lessons. The progress we’ve seen since she first started about 5 months ago until now is amazing. Day 1 she was so afraid to even sit in the water, let alone get it on her face/head and now she looks forward to swim class every week and adores Mike! Seeing her have so much fun, laughing and comfortably enjoying learning and progressing every week has been awesome. We didn’t think within just a few months she’d be eagerly jumping in the pool and swimming underwater. Mike is a very experienced coach. His dedication, patience, positive and fun personality are the perfect match for my daughter. He also works well with every child and takes a tailored approach. Within a few classes with Annabel he was dunking his head underwater for fun! Mike is also a great instructor. His style and personality really fits my kids needs and they've really responded to his instructions.

Safety first swimming was perfect for my daughter who tried private lessons but definitely worked better in a group lesson. Each kid is given wonderful instruction and care. Annabel is the best swimming instructor in the area. Mike, who teaches some classes too, is an extraordinary swimming teacher. My both boys learned to swim with Annabel and they absolutely love their Sunday classes with Mike. I tried a few swimming places before meeting Annabel and will never change. They are fabulous and really your best option in the area!
