The Queen Anne's County Family YMCA in Centreville, a branch of the YMCA of the Chesapeake, runs summer day camp with weekly themes for preschool, school-age and teen campers. Most branch day camps operate Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm with free before- and after-camp care, and financial assistance and early-bird savings are available.

Powered by GoogleI enjoy going and working out here!! Its very clean and most workers are very pleasant. However I’ve encountered a few interactions with one of the older lady workers with white short hair who has been quite unpleasant when addressing me leaving out of the back door. I have noticed other people going out the door for a while now including other workers so I figured it wasn’t an issue since I am a paying customer. There also was an issue with loud constant vaccuming that went on for hours every time I would go around 12-2 pm while people were trying to work out. I think adding more smith machines would be beneficial as it seems like thats the machine people seem to fight to get on. But I still enjoy going to this gym a lot!!
I just joined a week or so ago. I am not new to lifting I was member of multiple gyms in the Annapolis area and when I moved here I built a home gym. We went to a birthday party at The Y and decided to join for the pool to give the kids more opportunities to swim and possibly some summer camp things. Then my wife and I learned about "Stay and Play" I sometimes miss having some extras in the gym and just the feeling of being around other people pushing. So we made it over for a few lifts this week and I have to say I love it. Staff is friendly. Kids love "Stay and Play" all the members have been respectful and friendly. Dumbbells are always reracked. People wipe down equipment. Never been when it was super busy and I have gone at peak hours. Very rare. One requested would be dumbbells over 100lbs.
The sauna is hardly ever working and the pool is randomly closed too often. Usually because a child had an accident (vomit, diarrhea, etc.). It's also been difficult to get accurate information on the schedule and status of these two facilities. I'm giving this rating because these are the two things I mainly use when coming here. If you're interested in an operational sauna and pool that you can rely on using, I would recommend going to the Kent County YMCA.
Absolutely beautiful campus, plenty of parking and I hear they are building an out door pool to go with the indoor pool. The fitness center has tons of cardio and way more strength equipment than expected. I love that it is all Life Fitness and Hammer Strength too! Highly recommended!
Very nice and clean gym. It’s bigger than it looks in my opinion because it goes so far back with the activity rooms. No complaints. Bathrooms are average, I would wear flips flops in the shower. I would wear flip flops at literally any public shower though so. YMCAs are such a good bang for your buck situation because with a membership in Maryland you can go to pretty much any ymca in the state. My membership was started all the way in Catonsville. Really happy with the inclusivity.
