Powered by GoogleFor this to be a Christ Center program, the director is not Christ like. Initially, I thought this would be a great experience for my child to enroll into a Christian based camp. When it took a turn the first two weeks. I had a meeting with the director and the staff teacher regarding the complaints they had regarding my child. The director was very defensive about her staff, and not remaining neutral during the conversation, but instead bias. Certainly, not Christ like behavior. Matthew 7:1-3 “Do not judge or you too will be judged” For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you”. Even going further threatening for my child to potentially not be able to return and this was the beginning of week 2. This raised concern due to my child being in Christian private school for three consecutive years and never having any complaints of such behavior they mentioned. In fact, my child came home crying of how a child pinch and yelled in face and nothing was done. My child is 6! And was instantly viewed in a bad light by the director. Luke 6:31: "Do to others as you would have them do to you". They refuse to let my child register for upcoming weeks stating it was full. Yet, I had others call to inquire and they were told to register first before they know if spots are available. But if no spot are available, why does someone have to resigned first?!? They control who they want and don’t want at their camp. It’s certainly not a fair process to enroll and certainly is not a Christ like environment. The camp need more than one director whom are diverse, fair, and demonstrates Christ like behavior.
Camp Rock has truly been a gift to our family. It wasn’t just a safe place to send our kids, it’s a camp where they thrive, grow, and actually look forward to returning every summer. Our children have enjoyed everything from bike days and pool time to weekly trips, baking classes, horseback riding, and ziplining. It really offers the best of an away camp experience with the convenience of a well-run day camp. One of the things we love most is how smoothly Camp Rock accommodates families like ours with children in different age groups. Our younger two started at Rock Church Academy’s Christian School summer program, which begins at age two, although separate from Camp Rock, they were able to transition to Camp Rock once they turned four. Having all three kids in one place across the adjoining campuses has been a huge blessing; no need to drive all over town! The Camp Director, Ms. Julie, runs a tight ship, and it shows. The staff is organized, attentive, and committed to excellence. Everything from pick-up and drop-off to the daily activity schedules is run with care and coordination. They even offer before/after-care and meals, which for parents like me (who are ready for a break from packed lunches after the school year) is a huge plus! What sets Camp Rock apart, though, is its commitment to Christian values. While the world around us continues to shift, it’s refreshing to know there’s a place that reinforces many of the same principles we teach at home. At the same time, it seems to be a welcoming environment open to all families who accept and are respectful of the camp’s Christ-centered foundation and operations. We’re grateful for the memories our children have made at Camp Rock, and we wholeheartedly recommend it to any family looking for a summer experience rooted in fun, faith, and excellence.
My daughter is on her 3 years at camp rock. She loves the trips, lunch, horseback riding, swimming, and the zipline. Having before and aftercare is also very helpful. I like that all the children are well none by all the staff. She is happy, safe, and looks forward to attending daily. I am very comfortable leaving her there and know she is really enjoying her summer. Thank you all for all your hard work!
My daughter has been loving Camp Rock! She’s only 5 but they provide so many options for the younger kinds to still be included in water activities. She comes home worn out from a day full of fun with her friends! The staff is all amazing and we are so glad we found Camp Rock!
We love Camp Rock! Our daughter has been attending camp for the past 2 years and she loves going to Camp Rock. She comes home happy and tired everyday. I love that her summer is filled with fun, sun, and water while getting tons of exercise and no screen time. The staff (especially Ms. Julie) is really organized, professional and they offer a great variety of activities for the kids. You can tell that the staff truly loves kids and really cares about their well-being. I don’t have to worry about my child’s care during the summer because I know she is in good hands at Camp Rock!
